An undated edition of 187 clean pages plus 4 pages of publisher"s ads. The text is illustrated with some full page drawings, including the frontis, signed C. Butterworth, and small drawings at the ends of many chapters. A previous owner"s name at the top of the half title page is dated April 10th/95, (Clearly meaning 1895 & not 1995). Bound in dark green cloth covers, 7 1/2" tall, with gilt titles and black decorations on the front & spine. Also a dull picture on the front cover. Cover rubbed on the corners and edges. Inscribed 1888. The front endpaper weak.
